As always, I pray this missive finds you well. Tomorrow is Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week. Our Lord enters His Passion tomorrow in a week long display of Gods Love for us.
In regard to great suffering and redemption, this week I watched an interview with a courageous woman named, Sabatina James. In a nutshell she was born a Muslim in Pakistan forced into marriage with an abusive man and underwent extreme suffering due to her resistance to the arranged marriage and such. By the grace of God she escaped this situation and eventually converted to Catholicism. Now she helps other women who are in similar situations of suffering and persecution.
Her story is captivating to be sure. Toward the end of the interview I share here, she talks about the differences in the 'nuclear family' and multi generational families, motherhood, taking care of our elders, broken school systems and more. Her insights are definitely worth pondering.
How I Left Islam and Found Jesus w/Sabatina James | E303 Lila Rose Show
Sabatina James was raised in rural Pakistan as a devout Muslim, reading and studying the Quran. However, she quickly saw the devastating consequences of taking it seriously, which landed her in a Muslim prison and an arranged marriage. Everything changed one day when she cried out to God to reveal Himself. Now, she’s fighting to warn the West about the realities of Muhammad, and the necessity of Jesus.

The Price of Love by Sabatina James
"And so I have lived ever since--forever on the move, forever pursued, yet never afraid. My time in Pakistan altered the course of my life. Amidst the cruelty, amidst the fear, God whispered to me: 'Stand before the giants and do not tremble.' And so I stand unwavering, as He shields me time and again. From a single ember of faith, a great fire has risen."
